1. What first drew you into music?

I was always drawn to musical performances. Especially rock bands like Linkin Park.
Growing up I was a huge fan of them and would watch their performances over and over.
Seeing someone put out all of their passion in front of a crowd always gave me goose bumps, but to be honest most of my life I was too lazy to pick up an instrument. Right when I was around 17 going on 18 I discovered the artist deadmau5. His authentic style of electronic music really sparked  something in me to start making electronic music. I have always been more of a geeky tech guy savvy in computers.

2. Listening to your music we can tell you love incorporating interesting new sounds and techniques within each track! What inspires you to experiment and evolve?

I listen to heaps of all kinds of music. House music, filmscores, rock music, dubstep, hardstyle, … Personally I don’t believe people can only like one genre, I think every genre has good songs it’s just up to you to find them.. I LOVE it when you hear something in a track and think wow that’s really special(but soooo nice).

3. It seems like you already found your signature sound ? Do you have any tips for upcoming musicians that can’t seem to find their own sound?

Well let me tell you this is by no means my end sound haha.
My sound will definitely evolve a lot over the coming years.

Though I think it is very important to actually make what you think sounds the best, follow your own feelings and not make something because it fits in a box or you think it might attract the right crowd. I’m convinced that if you keep doing your own thing consistently, following what’s true for you, not worrying too much about what others might think, and most importantly put in the hours to actually sit down and create - amazing things will follow.

To all creators: You’d be surprised about how much people actually would love “that failed piece of art you’re not going to finish”.

I’m by no means where I want to be in terms of music production abilities, but you get there by putting the music out there and learning from every release.

4. Your track “Listen” is your best track in our opinion! From its artwork to the Incredibly powerful sound we absolutely love it. Could you tell us more about the story behind this track? Also, what is your creative process like?

Haha, that is funny. I actually think “Listen” is one of my worst tracks - proving how much taste differs and how important it is to just put stuff out there. Who knows who will love it :-)
No special story, honestly, “deadmau5 - stay” was a big inspiration here though.

I go about music very randomly, jamming random stuff and always saving it. That way I start building a massive library of my own stuff, and when I’m stuck on something I have a lot of options.

I try to get out one musical idea (30-90 sec) every day to keep the creative juices flowing and let music production stay on my mind. Mostly first thing in the morning. After a bunch of ideas I’ll decide which ones I actually want to finish and which ones have potential for actually releasing.

5. What are your musical goals for the future?

Create a life in which I can live from my passion, sharing my gifts with as much people that want to experience it. Spinning in warm exotic atmospheres definitely something I love so festivals that suit this are definitely on the goals list.

Music wise, I’ve been mostly focusing on dance music so far, but making music for games and certain movies also seems very exciting to me. Once I create enough time for myself I’ll definitely start a side project for this. I love the music of Ramin Djawadi (Game Of thrones, Westworld, Gears of War, Warcraft,…) and he made me value this genre of music a lot.

6. What do you have planned for the coming months? Any upcoming projects we can get excited about?

My next release Eagle! You can find it here ➡️ https://ffm.to/birdz
An energetic melodic techno track inspired by labels like Anjunadeep and Hungry Music.

There are a lot of exciting things going on right now as I’m shifting towards a digital nomad lifestyle so expect a lot of special things. It’s only been 1.5 years since my first release and it’s been a crazy time for me so far. Definitely no plans to slow down.

I’ll probably gravitate more towards melodic techno than house I think. I’m currently very inspired by artists like Ben Böhmer, Lane 8, Yotto, … so you might hear influences that kind of music in the future ?
