Areo | Artist - Mister Mixmania

Areo is the project of German musician and producer Alexander Bagdahn (b. 1995) from Hanover. His roots lie in electronic music under the earlier alias "lx", where he was signed by indie labels three times before shifting focus to vocals and songwriting.

International press and radio – from London to New York – took notice around his second release "Embody" at the end of 2020. International media place his sound between the warmth of Frank Ocean and the playful energy of Calvin Harris, at home in deep house and pop with rave-inspired energy.

His track "How Could You" (with Sickluv, Paraíso Records) has surpassed one million streams on Spotify; "Fly" (label LOVE CLVB) and "Joy" received editorial placement on Apple Music playlists ("New in Dance" / "New in Electronic"), and his track "In Control" was featured in the 3D action MMORPG "oneState". He also won LabelRadar remix contests with remixes of "Hold Me" and "Party Favors" (both FVYDID).

Recent releases (2025/26) include "Aftershade" (More Than A Feeling), "How Could You" feat. Sickluv (Paraíso Records), "Patience", "Soft Rebellion", "Drifting", "Forever Ago", "Miracle" (all Chillout Tales) and "On My Way" (Spectrum Recordings).
