1. How did you get into music? What was the trigger?
I have always been interested in musical performances. Especially for rock bands like Linkin Park. Already at a young age I was a big fan of yours and watched your performances again and again.
Seeing someone reach crowds with all their passion always gave me goosebumps. However, to be honest, I’ve been too lazy to learn an instrument for most of my life.
When I was about 17, I discovered the artist deadmau5. His authentic style, electronic music, ultimately triggered me to make electronic music as well. I’ve always been more of an “awkward” 😉 Tech guy who knows his way around computers.
2. When we listen to your music, it is noticeable that you love to incorporate interesting new sounds and techniques into each track! What inspires you to experiment and develop?
I listen to a lot of music.
House music, film scores, rock music, dubstep, hardstyle, … Personally, I don’t think people can like just one genre. I think every genre has good songs. It’s up to everyone to find them.
I LOVE it when I hear something in a track and think, wow, this is really special (or so nice).
3. Apparently, you have already found your signature sound. ? Do you have any tips for budding musicians who can’t find their own sound?
Well, let me tell you that this is by no means my end, haha.
My sound will definitely evolve a lot in the coming years.
I think it’s very important to follow your own feelings and not do anything just because it fits in a box or you think it might attract the right amount. I am convinced that you should consistently do your own things and follow what is true for you. Don’t worry too much about what others might think and, most importantly, spend the time actually sit down and create something – then amazing things will follow.
To all creators: Finish your artworks. You will be surprised how many people will love you for it.
I’m definitely not where I want to be in terms of music productions yet. But I think you can achieve more and more, or get better, by putting out music and learning from every release.
4. In our opinion, your track “Listen” is your best track! From the graphics to the incredibly powerful sound, we absolutely love it. Can you tell us more about the story behind this track? Whatwas your creative process?
Haha ? … yes, that’s funny. In fact, I think “Listen” is one of my worst tracks – a testament to how different the taste is and how important it is to put out stuff like that as well. Who knows who will love it?
….. In itself ka special story. Honestly, “deadmau5 – stay” was my great inspiration here.
Otherwise, I deal with the music very arbitrarily. Jam random things and always save them for me.
That’s how I start building a huge library with my own stuff. This opens up many possibilities.
Every day I try to implement a musical idea (30-90 sec.) so that I keep the creative juices flowing and the music production stays in my head. Usually the same thing in the morning as the first thing. After a series of ideas, I decide which tracks I really want to finish or which have the potential to actually release them.
5. What are your musical goals for the future?
To create a life where I can live from my passion and in which I reach many people with my potential… Shooting in warm, exotic atmospheres is definitely something I love too. Festivals that fit in with this are definitely on my list of destinations.
So far I have seen myself musically, mainly focused on dance music. But producing music for games and certain movies also seems very exciting to me.
As soon as I have enough time for myself, I will definitely start a side project for it.
I love the music of Ramin Djawadi (Game Of Thrones, Westworld, Gears of War, Warcraft, …) all this made me appreciate this music genre very much.
6. What do you have planned for the next few months? Are there any projects we can look forward to?
My next release “Eagle!” You can find it here ➡️ https://ffm.to/birdz
An energetic melodic techno track inspired by labels like Anjunadeep and Hungry Music.
There are a lot of exciting things going on right now. I’m currently in a digital nomadic lifestyle. So expect a lot of special things.
It’s only been 1.5 years since my first release and it’s been a crazy time for me so far. I haveno plans to slow down.
I think maybe I’ll devote myself more to melodic techno and less to house.
Currently I am very interested in artists like Ben Böhmer, Lane 8, Yotto, … I think in the future you will hear more of this kind of music from me?
