Between the Buried and Me

Between the Buried and Me ist eine US-amerikanische Band aus Charlotte und Winston-Salem. Das Quintett spielt eine Mischung aus Progressive Metal, Mathcore und Metalcore.

Biografie

Die Band wurde im Herbst 2000 von dem Sänger Tommy Rogers, dem Schlagzeuger Will Goodyear, dem Bassisten Jason King und den beiden Gitarristen Paul Waggoner und Nick Fletcher gegründet. Ihr 2002 bei Lifeforce Records erschienenes selbstbetiteltes Debutalbum enthält auch die Neuaufnahmen ihrer drei Demolieder. 2003 veröffentlichten sie ihr zweites Album The Silent Circus bei Victory Records. Von diesem wurde ihre erste Single Mordecai ausgekoppelt, zu der sie auch ihr erstes Musikvideo drehten. Nachdem Album verließ Nick Fletcher die Band und wurde kurzzeitig durch Shane Blay ersetzt. Schon im September 2004 kamen Dustie Waring für Blay und sein ehemaliger Bandkollege von Glass Casket Blake Richardson als neuer Drummer in die Band. Am Bass kam Dan Briggs hinzu.

Bandname

Die Bandname ist abgeleitet von einem Teil des Textes im Counting Crows-Song Ghost Train[2]:
