We have implemented two-factor authentication (2FA) to further enhance security. This additional protective measure requires a second confirmation step in addition to the password, making unauthorized access to accounts significantly more difficult.

Use the “Two-Factor Method” section under your user or author profile to enable and configure one or more two-factor authentication providers for your account:

• Email codes
• Time-based One-Time Passwords (TOTP)
• FIDO Universal 2nd Factor (U2F)
• Backup codes

Recommended: authenticator app #

One of the most secure methods for 2FA is using an authenticator app such as Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, or Authy.

How 2FA works with an authenticator app #

1. Enabling 2FA — log in to your account settings, navigate to the “Security” or “Two-Factor Authentication” section, and select the option to use an authenticator app.
2. Pairing the app — download an authenticator app from the App Store or Google Play Store and scan the displayed QR code, or manually enter the provided code.
3. Using the one-time codes — once set up, the app generates a new six-digit code every 30 seconds. When logging in, enter the current code from the app after your password.
