1. Navigate to “Posts” #
In the WordPress menu on the left, find “Posts” — click it for an overview of all existing posts.
2. Find the post you need #
In the overview you can see the title and first line of each post. If you have many posts, use the search bar in the top right.
3. Edit the post #
Hover over the post you want to edit — two options appear:
- Edit: opens the full editor (content, title, categories, tags, etc.).
- Quick Edit: changes basic details like title, date, or visibility without opening the full editor.
4. Making changes #
- Edit text: directly in the block editor.
- Add/change media: via the corresponding button.
- SEO and metadata: check and optimize using the Rank Math analysis.
- Categories and tags: adjust or add.
- Publish date: back- or forward-date if needed.
5. Saving changes #
Update applies the changes live. Save as draft if you’re not finished yet.
Tips #
Use Preview before updating. WordPress keeps older versions as Revisions — if something goes wrong, you can restore an earlier version.
